Generator replacement using helicopter

Extraordinary intervention at Pontremoli hydroelectric plant for the replacement of a 12-quintal generator. The operation involved the use of a helicopter to extract the old generator and place the new one in an area that was inaccessible to traditional means. In support, a tractor with a crane behind the cabin was used for loading, transporting and unloading the machinery at a point suitable for collection by the helicopter.
