Lifting and transport Hydrofoil from Arona to Dervio, via Parè di Valmadrera

THE CUSTOMER NEED

Intermarine, a historic Italian company in the sector, has used our services to transfer hydrofoil belonging to the Management Navigazione Laghi fleet, called “Lord Byron” from Lake Maggiore to Lake Como.

THE DESIGN OF THE SERVICE

The execution of the assignment was preceded by a series of preliminary technical activities, such as a careful analysis of the route, numerous site inspections and the study of the most correct lifting and towing procedures, and by a series of activities administrative and insurance.

LOADING AND TRANSPORT

In close collaboration with the Customer we have planned a solution that has allowed us to carry out the service in several phases. Through the use of specially equipped semi-trailers and custom-made supports for the hull and superstructure of the boat, it was possible to load the ship flat, without inclination. This is also thanks to the invaluable assistance of the staff of the Intermarine shipyard, present both in Arona and in Valmadrera.
Transports carried out in teams and at night, suitably escorted by our pilot cars, has smoothly and already at dawn the train had reached its destination.

LIFT AND LAUNCHING

Through the fundamental support of the Forti Sollevamenti company, the lifting operations began in the early morning, in the splendid setting of the Parè di Valmadrera bay. Thanks to the use of powerful cranes and numerous technical assistance vehicles, the work of expert personnel allowed Lord Byron to be laid on the water on the established schedule.
Our work ended with support for the client for the launching of the motor vessel, and the Lord Byron, already shortly after midday, freed from the chains, was towed to the destination site in Dervio.
